Why use Infrared?
A thermal imaging camera is a reliable non contact instrument which is able to scan and visualise the temperature distribution of entire surfaces of machinery and electrical equipment quickly and accurately. Thermography programs have contributed to substantial cost savings for many of our customers.
Infrared Thermography is now becoming widely accepted throughout the electrical industry as a clean and efficient way to spot potential problems in equipment before they become extremely costly. The whole process of attending your premises and carrying out a survey with our equipment is highly cost effective in predicting possible short and long term problems with electrical appliances and components.
Nearly everything that uses or transmits power gets hot before it fails. Cost effective power management is critical to maintaining the reliability of your electrical and mechanical systems. Today, no one would argue that Infrared Thermography is one of the most effective proven predictive maintenance (PM) technology available to quickly, accurately and safely locate problems prior to failure. Finding and fixing a poor electrical connection before a component fails can save you the much greater costs associated with manufacturing downtime, production losses, power outages, fires and catastrophic failures.
The cost depends on how involved and complicated the work is that you require. The equipment we use is equivalent to the cost of a brand new small car and as such, costs have to be relative. As a typical example the cost for hiring our services for this type of work would be a minimum of £295 for a four hour survey.
